Franck DENAENE –
I've owned this magnificent guitar for three years. As a fan of luthiers' guitars (I own two others, one French and one Japanese), this Lucky is pure Custom Shop. I play it at home and in concert on a superb F-Type amp from KelT Amplification.
The positives: Top-notch construction and finish, easy to play, super agréable Neck , incredible sustain, 0 fret, Pickups single coil Pickups , gorgeous curly maple, and lots of other things including self-locking tuners, an accessible but hidden truss rod under a very practical magnetic cover, and finally, allHardware top quality, as is the wood used for the body, Neck Fingerboard.
In terms of sound, the 100% maple body gives a snap with every strike of the pick on the strings, but you can simply adjust the amp settings and/or the volume and tone knobs to get a softer, more "blues delta" sound. In terms of dynamics, it's very good, especially since the original settings, whether the height of Pickups the string action, instantly produce the ideal sound. These Pickups "bleed" like some other humbuckers. I would describe them as more modern than a 1950s PAF or their current reproduction. If you're not happy with them, simply ask for a different set of Pickups to be fitted when you place your order.
As you can see, this guitar is the one for you if hollow-body guitars are your favorite. And, to top it all off, the Lucky is made in France, which, among other things, allows our craftsmen to make a living from their passion and keeps the cost down for a very high-quality guitar.
To conclude, another important point is the direct contact with Tom and his team. They are attentive, friendly, and available, which is essential for me. So, if this guitar tempts you, go ahead and treat yourself—you won't regret it.
I would also like to point out that I am in no way endorsed by Marceau Guitare. I am simply seduced by this Lucky.
Musically yours.
