I am lucky enough to own the very first Redoutable, with an incredible finish, and what can I say, except that like all the guitars offered by Tom, it is extremely comfortable to play and features the highest level of adjustment and detail.
The Redoutable a super sexy, aggressive look without being over the top. The body is very slim and streamlined, making it very light and perfectly balanced. The Neck great, neither too thin nor too thick, and the high notes are easy to reach.
In short, despite its lightness and slimness, it doesn't lack bass or body; it's a guitar made for big sound.
And if you take a look at the guitars currently on the market at this price point, you'll find that most of them are made in Korea... That makes you think, doesn't it?

In short, it was a pleasure. I was able to choose all the elements to make a guitar to my liking.
The icing on the cake was that I went to see Tom with a photo of one of my guitars that I wanted in a certain color... and Tom did the job

Il y a des achats qu’on prévoit… et puis il y a ceux qui te tombent dessus comme une évidence.
Dans ma tête, au-delà d’un certain prix, c’était surtout “du luxe”. Et puis j’ai eu la chance d’essayer une Marceau chez XLMusic à Chartres…
Deux accords. Trois notes.
Et là : le déclic. Une claque.
J’ai joué sur pas mal de guitares (Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, ESP… respect total), mais je n’avais jamais eu ce moment où tu sais, instantanément : “OK… c’est celle-là.”
Et cette guitare, c’est la Redoutable – Candy Apple Red.
Beauté, son, justesse, équilibre, ergonomie, feeling, finition… tout est tellement cohérent que tu arrêtes de réfléchir et tu joues. Vraiment.
J’ai mis un peu de temps à me décider… mais c’était déjà acté le jour de l’essai.
